The key elements incorporated within my artwork are realism and juxtaposition. Added to these elements are contrasting intensity and images. The artwork contained in the Cloudscapes Suite stretches the traditional bounds of landscape and incorporates oppositional elements such as light and dark, where interiors become exteriors and backgrounds become foregrounds. The thematic element utilized in my paintings is that of surrealism which is subtle and intriguing.

The methodology used to create my paintings is to first start with watercolor paints utilizing the inherent quality of transparency, especially on the cloud and mountain images. Next, the sky and architectural features are rendered with acrylic paint and finally, the water aspects are completed with latex paint. The matting is then matched by colour to the hues used within the painting to give even more impact to the art pieces.
